These are my final pieces.
Using Photoshop:
I feel I was able to use Photoshop very well. It was a little finicky in areas such as painting the eyes and teeth. I liked most being able to someone (Chris) and put them in a completely different scene, it is incredible. I was happy with how they both turned out but I just did not enjoy the fact that I had to destroy a women for an assessed piece of work. The Gaussian blur effect was excellent! It made the background something that you don't want to see...it is difficult to explain. It made Chris become the main object in the scene, Getting the soft skin look on the magazine image was very difficult to make in not just look like blur.
Learning and Development:
I have learnt the skill to keep my thoughts to myself when complaining about society making young children feel as if they have to have the perfect skin.
I have also learnt how to take images I am given and make them fit together
perfectly (referencing the action poster). I would have liked more help with the softening of the skin on the airbrushing task. Airbrushing can be used to make lovely graphics for websites and gorgeous user interfaces for kiosks.

Tyler - don't keep those thoughts to yourself! They are sensible and sensitive observations about the way the media generates an 'ideal' society. I'm glad you raised it and that we got to discuss this in class.
