Okay so this is the best I could think of for the "website" (PowerPoint) before any further instructions...

Proposal and Justifications for Assignment 3
1. I believe I am planning to make a website based around a trailer I am going to create.
B. My primary audience would be sci-fi film-watchers around the age of 16+ and my secondary audience would be film companies who are in the market for a someone to hire.
C or 3 or III. The purpose of my product is too show my skills as a cinematographer and a visual effects artist. I would want my independent film company to be represented as a professional company devoted to film making.
D. The video will be a trailer for an "upcoming" science fiction horror film called something like "The Continuum" or "Never Mess With Time" and it will appear on the Index page!
5. In the ways of paperwork, I would need:

5. In the ways of paperwork, I would need:
- Location Release; So I can film inside the college.
- Minor Talent Release; For anybody under 18 I use.
- A Risk Assessment; This will allow me to identify any hazards such as, Trip Hazards (A tripod).
VI. For legislation's, the only one that would actually impact me at all would be the Health & Safety (DSE) Regulations; this would make it so I cannot sit at a computer for twelve hours straight editing my trailer (not that I would by the way).
7. Hardware and software:
- Photoshop: To make a poster for the film.
- Premier: To piece the film together.
- After Effects: To add visual effects.
- Notepad++: To make the website
- DSLR: To film with.
- A computer: To edit the film and make the website.
H. File Types:
- PNG: The poster and the logo and any other images.
- .mp4: The Trailer.
- .html/.css: The Website

Legislation and Regulations
The HASAWA (Health And Safety At Work Act) is the primary act which covers occupational health and safety. Basically, this makes it so bosses must make sure their employees are safe. They can't ask an employee to hang off of the top of a ten story building to clean the windows without a harness. In relation to my product in assignment 3, this would make sure I cannot put my actors into any stunts that may cause harm to my actor, even if they are willing because I can still be held accountable.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The DSE regulations are in place to decrease the pain associated to sitting and staring at a monitor/screen for long periods of time, so an employer cannot say "I need this video game finished by tomorrow! You are not leaving your computer for the next 25 hours!" After that much time people could have eye pain, arm pain, wrist ache, carpal tunnel and much, much more. This could relate to my assignment 3, so I cannot sit at a computer for hours on end to get my product done. I would have to take breaks after a certain amount of time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The computer misuse act is in place to protect computer users against willful attacks and theft of information. Offences under the act include hacking, unauthorized access to computer systems and purposely spreading malicious and damaging software, such as viruses. If an employer tells you to sign up for a free business version of expensive software but you get turned down and he tells you to deal with it. You are not allowed to hack into the software's mainframe and steal the software because that is just highly illegal. In assignment 3, I am not allowed to hack into adobes systems and steal Premier and After Effects.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Copyright, Designs and Patents Act is there to stop people from taking your products and claiming they are yours or using them without your consent. I cannot go and start mass producing a fizzy drink called "Coca Cola" or "Mountain Dew" because those names are copyright. For my assignment 3, I am doing a trailer in which I will require music and visual effects. I will not need to check with the person who owns the music as I can claim the assets were used under "fair-use".
Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976 "Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing, non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."

Moving Image Task
Standard Definition is a television system which is not
considered to be either high resolution or enhanced-definition television; WVGA
(848x480)
High Definition is a high degree of detail in an image or
screen; 1080p (1920x1080)
Four K is labelled 4K because a 4K TV carries almost 4K
pixels; it actually carries 3840 pixels but they obviously rounded up to 4K.
There are many limitations for resolution such as:
·
File Size
·
The Camera For Filming
·
The Software For Editing
·
The Display Technology
People do not generally film everything in 4K because the
file size compared to 1080p is huge, 4K cameras are generally expensive, some
software do not accept 4K resolution when editing and to actually view 4K you
would need a 4K monitor or TV, which do not come cheap.
.MP4
Pros:
·
Suitable for video streaming over the internet.
·
Less loss of quality with higher degree of
compression.
·
These files can pretty much run on every major
media player.
Cons:
·
The only disadvantage is they are not easy to
edit or update.
.MOV
Pros:
·
MOV is a convenient file type because it can
hold different media elements, including video and audio, all in one compact
place.
·
It stores data so you can easily edit the file,
without the hassle of rewriting.
Cons:
·
These files will only work on QuickTime Media
Player, which is an Apple software…
·
The file types are larger than .mp4 files.
.AVI
Pros:
Many codecs
currently available can be used to achieve desired compression ratio of AVI format.
AVI file format has
exceptionally high quality audio fidelity.
AVI file format do not require any particular
hardware device of software application for the file to run.
·
AVI file format is the most widely used video
format for promos, short movies and advertisements owing to its compression
capabilities.
Cons:
·
If AVI files are compressed using some codecs
then in order to retrieve and play the file it requires the same codec to be
installed on the PC.
·
AVI files if uncompressed can be very large as
compared to the other file formats.
·
AVI files if compressed beyond certain limits
result in the loss of video quality.
·
.FLV
Pros:
·
Flash is installed on near enough of computer
out there.
·
Flash provides access to interactive content and
other advanced features.
Cons:
·
Flash has to be up-to-date otherwise; the video
will not be playable.
·
Flash files do not directly have a file set to
view FLVs as default.
The Handycams gave me AVCHD files; These MTS files contain
high-definition MPEG transport stream videos that have been captured by certain
video camcorders.
DSLRs output .MOV files,.
